1st Game. 1st Goal.

Landon played in his first soccer game this past Saturday. It started out with a frazzled morning... we left an hour and 1/2 early so we could get our extra car washed, drop it off at the "For Sale" lot, then head to the "big" game. After all our errands, we finally arrived at the field only to discover Landon forgot his soccer bag at home (ie. had cleats, shin guards and socks). Did I mention his games are comletely across town? So, I dropped Joel (Asst. Coach) and Landon off as Parker and I sped away to drive 40 minutes there ad back to get his stinkin' bag. By the time I arrived, the game was 1/2 over... but at least he got to play! And he scored 3 goals! A hat trick! Landon and his daddy were so proud. Enjoy the pictures...

We had a GREAT time, but remembered that it is a lot of work to go out of town with 2 little ones...

The boys LOVED the beach...
Landon learned to boogey board.
Parker learned to boogey board.
Landon caught sand crabs.
Parker laid in the sand to try and "nap".
Mama meal planned on the beach.
Daddy supervised water play and made sand-free PB&J's sandwiches.
We ate fresh Fish & Chips, & Clam Chowder from the fish market...

Labor Day

We're off to the beach for the holiday weekend, so hopefully some good pictures to come... be safe and have a GREAT Labor Day!

AYSO

So, tonight was Landon's 1st official soccer practice for a 4 and under boys AYSO team. The boys came up with the name the "Sharks" and games start after Labor Day. He had a rough start (needing a nap), but daddy showed up and saved the day! Joel is also assistant coaching (which the head coach seemed VERY pleased about). Here are just a few pictures... more to come as game days approach. By the way, Joel was #4 his whole soccer career, so Landon was thrilled to continue the legacy! :)
