Worst Mom Moment EVER.

I can rub their back when they're throwing up in the toilet. I can even hold the bag while they're throwing up in the car (like what happened this past week). I CANNOT handle cleaning up loose POOP all over the carpet, hands and mouth.
But, as moms, we have to do it anyway.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I had a wonderful birthday despite how the day turned out (Parker and I ended up throwing up all night with the flu).
I enjoyed spending the day with my family... Joel took the day off and we headed to Santa Monica for an adventure. We played on the pier, soaked up the sun and even ventured down the sand to the freezing water. We also discovered a little aquarium beneath the pier that offered hands-on displays as well as a mini shark tank (which all 3 boys loved). We ate pizza for lunch and had ice cream cones. We drove remote-controlled boats and walked the whole length of the pier to see the fishermen. I even bought a hat that I've always wanted (pictures to come). I do wish all my family was with us to celebrate. But then you might have gone home throwing up too... :/

Saturday Night Out on the Town

We had this planned for a month or so... two other families and us ventured down to Westwood for some Indonesian food and ice cream sandwiches. We had SO much fun. Good company, good food and good dessert! I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday night!

Mimi & Papadad

We had a wonderful visit with my parents when they were here last week. They have made the effort to come and stay with me when Joel goes out of town for his one-nighters. What a blessing! The kids love having them come and we get to go out for dinner which is an added bonus! This time, we headed to Bridgeport to feed the ducks.

This is the gift my parents bought for Hayley's 1 year birthday. She (and the boys) LOVE it!

Saturday at The Americana

We decided to go for a Saturday adventure, so we headed for Glendale to The Americana. It is a beautiful outdoor mall with a center fountain that has an hourly water show. On Saturdays, they have a Farmer's Market with a petting zoo and pony rides. The mall even has a playground for kids with comfy couches so the parents can sit and watch. We found an amazing kitchen store and bought Joel something he's always wanted... a pancake dispenser (to make perfectly round and measured pancakes!). We ate lunch outside at The Cheesecake Factory and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. What an amazing family day!
