We went to Hume Lake over Labor Day for their annual Country Fair. It gets more and more fun the older the kiddos get. This year they even helped sell cinnamon rolls! We had a great time with Joels family and the cousins had a blast playing together. Ever since we have been home the boys continue to ask, "when are we going back to Hume?"

Warner Bros. Tour

My sister, Andrea, started working for Warner Bros. a few months ago. This was the first time we got to visit her at work and go on a self-guided lot tour. The boys had fun climbing stairs and going into the"fake" buildings. We saw dozens of sound stages, one where they were building sets for an upcoming movie and one where they were filming the TV show "Chuck". We saw the costume shop and browsed through the furniture/antique department. They even have a room of junk/trinkets, I mean... "collectibles" of things that celebrities have touched or used. We stopped at the "Central Perk" set from "Friends", but the door was locked so we'll have to see that next time! We ended our adventure with a stop at the employee store where we picked up Jamba Juice (Ahhh...) and a DVD set of "The Jetsons"... trying to give our boys an appreciation of the old Hanna Barbera cartoons. :) We then headed to Andrea's new place in No. Hollywood where we ordered pizza and the boys got to see their buddy, her dog- Chance. What a fun night!

3rd Largest Sound Stage in the world... can you see us down there? They were currently building the set for a Chinese Empire-- a film Leonardo DiCaprio is currently filming. They also filmed The Perfect Storm in here and can fill it with mass amounts of water. Pretty amazing!

Today is the official first day of our new phase of life... having school-aged children! There were no tears (amazingly) only excited nervousness.
